Mission Aditya L1

Aditya-L1

We know Aditya-L1 is a satellite . But we did not know about this Aditya-L1. So we discussed Exclusively about the Aditya -L1.

Defination about Aditya -L1.

Aditya -L1 is dedicated satellite ️ to comprehensive study of the Sun. Aditya in Sanskrit means the Sun. And L1 is refers to Lagrange Point 1 of the Sun-Earth system. For simple language, L1 is a location in space where the gravitational forces of two celestial bodies, such as the Sun and Earth, are in equilibrium.Aditya has 7 distinct payloads . In Aditya -L1 7 payload Five by ISRO and two by Indian academic institutes in collaboration with ISRO. This 7 payload is
1.VELC(Visible Emission Line Coronagraph)
2.SUIT (Solar Ultraviolet Imaging telescope)
3.SolExs (Solar Low Energy x-ray Spectrometer)
4.HEL1OS(high Energy L1 Orbiting x-ray Spectrometer)
5.ASPEX(Aditya Solar Wind particle Experiment)
6.papa(plasma Analyzer package For Aditya)
7.advanced Tri-axial High-resolution Digital Magnetometers.
India will be the first country in the whole of Asia which will be studying the Sun , the star of our solar system.

launch of Aditya -L1

Aditya -L1 scheduled launch on September 2, 2023, morning of 2nd September at 11:50AM Aditya -L1 launched by the second launch pad of shriharikota space centre in Andhra Pradesh a PSLV-XL took flight.then the flight approximately 63 minites after lift-off , it dropped the 1,500kg Aditya -L1 into Earth,s highly alliptical parking orbit . Where Aditya -L1 using its thrusters , it will gradually increase its orbit and go out of the Earth, s gravitational influence , I e.sphere of influence and then it’s cruise phase towards the L1 point will begin .in this phase also the spacecraft will spend about a month and after this finally our spacecraft , will reach that L1 point present between the Sun and Earth . And Aditya L1 it will study the Sun weather with help of radiation coming from the Sun , and it’s continuously without opticals for 5 years.

Aditya -L1 in space

After Aditya -L1 launched Aditya-L1 stays Earth-bound orbits for 16 days, during which it undergoes 5 maneuvres to gain the necessary velocity for its journey. Subsequently, Aditya-L1 undergoes a Trans-Lagrangian1 insertion maneuver, marking the beginning of its 110-day trajectory to the destination around the L1 Lagrange point. Upon arrival at the L1 point, another maneuver binds Aditya-L1 to an orbit around L1, a balanced gravitational location between the Earth and the Sun. Then 7 payload present on Aditya -L1 four will be dedicated to observe only the light coming from the Sun ☀️ in different wavelengths , while the task of the remaining 3 scientific payloads is observed the sun’s photosphere chromosphere , and the outermost layers i.e. corona .We will also study space weather related events .Like sun’s magnetic field coronal mass ejection .

Aditya -L1 in next 5 years

Aditya -L1 satalite on space in 5 years study about sun . Aditya -L1 will be study the Sun’s weather , with the help of radiation coming from the Sun , continuously without opticals for 5 years . Science objectives of Aditya -L1 has fixed a total of 9 major science objective for Aditya -L1.In which detailed study of the sun’s supper atmosphere I.e. chromosphere and corona from the Lagrange point .Ionized plasma , coronal mass ejections, and flares .The study the plasma environment and the changes occurring in its dynamics. To understand solar corona and it’s heating mechanism . Studying the statistics of coronal and coronal loops plasma such as temperature, velocity, and density. The study the dynamics and origin of coronal mass ejections .In future we can accurately predict them when needed . Identifying the activity and sequences accurring in the different multiple layers of the sun.Its studying changes and variations in the magnetic field topology and magnetic field measurements around the Sun .And finally understanding the origin and composition of overall space weather and studying the dynamics of solar wind . To arhieve These Scientific objectives. ISRO has Installed a Total of 7 Scientific Payloads of 244 Kg on Aditya -L1 spacecraft.
